The Far East introduces pirate ships, placed in open sea areas at the start of the game. These ships block players’ ship movement, but they can later become mercenaries under an empire’s control, creating interesting new dynamics.

With this expansion, you can add Pirate Ships to Mega Empires- The West and The East: it contains a set of 10 pirate ship miniatures and a set of alternative Civilization Advances interacting with them. This expansion can also be used as an upgrade for the pirate ship tokens included in The Far East.

You need 2 sets to play with up to 20 players, 3 sets to play with up to 30 players.

Note: The Pirate Ships expansion is already included as a reward in tiers from The Far East and up. You need 1 additional set to play with up to 20 players and 2 sets to play with up to 30 players.
