The Zodiac Events module is integrated in both The Far East sets by default, but can optionally be added to The West and The East using this expansion. Fifteen tokens are included for use in The West, fifteeen for use in The East, plus two Pirate Incursion tokens.

Zodiac Events are events triggered at the end of a turn and apply to all players, bringing either good or bad fortune. Some players will benefit while others will face the consequences. Fifteen tokens are shuffled, sorted into three groups, then three from each group are placed on the track with numbers face up, and the rest are returned to the box. At the end of a turn, the token on the marker’s space is revealed and resolved immediately.
