Four ships in the first wave of Sails of Glory were available exclusively during Kickstarter Campaign: the French frigate La Concorde 1777, the French ship-of-the-line Fougueux 1785, the British frigate HMS Juno 1780, and the British ship-of-the-line HMS Bellerophon 1786.
Now these Ships are available only during Fair or by Ares E- Commerce.
The Fougueux was a third-rate, Téméraire class 74-gun French ship-of-the-line built in Lorient from 1784 to 1785. She took part in the Expédition d’Irlande in 1796. In 1805, the Fougueux fired the first shot of the Battle of Trafalgar against HMS Royal Sovereign, and later attempted to come to the aid of the Redoutable by engaging HMS Temeraire, being captured. This ship pack can also be used to represent the French ship-of-the-line “Redoutable 1791”.
The Téméraire Class ships of the line was and remains the most numerous class of capital ships ever built, with 67 built between 1782 and 1824 for the French navy. These third-rate, 74-guns ships had a designed crew of 700. They were armed with 28 36-Pounder guns in the lower deck, 30 18-Pounder guns in the upperdeck, and 16 8-Pounder guns in the quarterdeck and in the forecastle.
Designed to be used with the tactical ship-to-ship game system created by Andrea Angiolino and Andrea Mainini, each Sails of Glory™ Ship Pack is a ready-to-play model, painted and assembled, 100% compatible with any other Sails of Glory game product.
In each pack you will find all you need to play the ship: a special base with gaming stats, a ship log and, a specific deck of maneuver cards. The ship base, ship card and ship log are printed on two sides – the game data of a second ship is printed on the back.
Note: These ships are not available by Retailers, as they were produced as Kickstarter rewards. To play scenarios where they are included, just replace them as following:
