Altay: Dawn of Civilization is a deck-building civilization game, set in a mythic age. In a secluded region within a vast continent, four mysterious societies have cultivated distinct cultures over countless years, maintaining a fragile balance. They now confront a new challenge: the influx of human settlers with advanced crafts and weapons.

As the leader of one of Altay’s Elder Peoples, you have the choice how to react to this challenge.

The game board depicts a region where the four factions clash, each area characterized by diverse terrain types and resources.

Players control one of four factions, each represented by a unique starting deck, featuring distinctions in the number of “basic” cards and faction-specific cards.

During each turn, players use their cards to generate resources, erect new settlements, expand across the board, engage in maneuvers against adversaries, or obtain new cards to augment their decks, symbolizing the integration of the Elder Peoples with the newcomers and their crafts.

Altay – Deluxe Settlements set:

The base game already includes high-quality wooden tokens, but for those who want to make the game even more beautiful and captivating, there’s Altay – Deluxe Settlements set, available for purchase. These deluxe settlement tokens are made of high-quality plastic, are based on the the beautiful artwork created for the game by Paulina Hannuniemi, and are colored using the “sundrop” technique, which highlights the details of the sculptures.

There are four different types of these tokens, each specifically designed for its respective faction, reflecting the unique characteristics of each Elder Peoples. The Elvenfolk live in the luxurious forests, while the Earthfolk dwell in deep underground caves.

The Smallfolk inhabit the wave-washed beaches, while beyond the lands, on the other side of the flames, live the Firefolk.

The Seafarers promo set adds to your games of Altay – Dawn of Civilization the possibility of journeying through large bodies of water, using the talents of a Shipwright and the knowledge of Astronomy, together with a new Wonder, the Lighthouse.
