Four ships in the first wave of Sails of Glory were available exclusively during Kickstarter Campaign: the French frigate La Concorde 1777, the French ship-of-the-line Fougueux 1785, the British frigate HMS Juno 1780, and the British ship-of-the-line HMS Bellerophon 1786.
Now these Ships are available only during Fair or by Ares E- Commerce.
The HMS Juno was a Royal Navy 32-gun Amazon-class fifth rate, which served during the American War of Independence, and the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. This ship pack can also be used to represent the British frigate “HMS Castor 1785”.
The Amazon Class frigates of 1773 were fifth-rate, 32-guns British ships with a main battery of 12-pounder guns, plus 18-pound carronades and 6-pounder guns in the quarterdeck and in the forecastle. The designed crew was of 220. It comprised 18 ships; the Amazon, Ambuscade and Thetis were launched in 1773; the second batch – Cleopatra, Amphion, Orpheus, Juno, Success, Iphigenia, Andromache, Syren, Iris, Greyhound, Meleager, Castor, Solebay, Terpsichore and Blonde – were launched in 1779 to 1787.
Designed to be used with the tactical ship-to-ship game system created by Andrea Angiolino and Andrea Mainini, each Sails of Glory™ Ship Pack is a ready-to-play model, painted and assembled, 100% compatible with any other Sails of Glory game product.
In each pack you will find all you need to play the ship: a special base with gaming stats, a ship log and, a specific deck of maneuver cards. The ship base, ship card and ship log are printed on two sides – the game data of a second ship is printed on the back.
Note: These ships are not available by Retailers, as they were produced as Kickstarter rewards. To play scenarios where they are included, just replace them as following:
